What do I see on the Dashboard of the education portal?

Personal area

Your personal area contains content that is independet of any school. The following widgets are displayed by default:

• Help & Support
• Personal archive

  Digitally signed official documents, like school reports, are stored in the personal archive, if they have been placed there by the signing authority. Everybody can access their own documents. Legal guardians can also access the documents of their children.

Employees assigned an @bildung.gv.at email address have the widget bildung.gv.at email

Employees of federal schools also have the widgets Employee information and Federal service portal - Links available by default.

School section

Below your personal area, a section for each school you are associated with, along with your role in that school, is displayed. The following widgets are available by default in each school:

• Applications

  Single sign on is available for all applications listed in the Applications tile on the Dashboard. This means you are automatically logged in to the corresponding application by clicking on the name of the application in the Applications tile. The available applications depend on your role and the school's configuration.

  The widget Organization provides all information on the organization.

• Officially signed documents & deliveries

  The official electronic signature is the digital signature on official documents like school reports. The official electronic signature shows the authority from which the document comes and ensures that the document can be verified.

Additional widgets can be enabled by the principal and the education portal administrator in Organization > Applications or Organization > Features. The principal and the education portal administrator are also authorized to disable some of the default widgets.

The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the respective EdTech partners, determines which widgets may be integrated into the education portal. However, by selecting specific applications for user groups or individuals, schools can control which widgets are available to their users. The actions performed within these widgets typically trigger a single sign-on process using a so-called "deep link," whereby users are immediately logged in to the partner application and directed to the desired location.
