How to assign roles to your school team
The principal has all organizational management capabilities by default. However, he or she can assign different roles to employees, so that one team is responsible for news, another is responsible for managing pictures and so on.
To delegate a role, open the option Delegated duties in the Organization widget on the dashboard.

Assigning a role
To assign a role, click the edit icon next to the user you would like to assign the role to. You can use the filter buttons above the table or the search function in the upper right corner to find users based on their last name or first name.

Check all the boxes of the roles you would like to assign to the selected user. Then click Save changes in the bottom right corner.

The eduportal admin has the same rights in the education portal as the principal, except for delegating the eduportal admin role.
The following roles can be assigned:
- Affiliations
With the custom Affiliations feature, principals and authorized employees can assign any person a role at the school, provided that this person cannot be imported automatically from one of the upstream systems of the education portal. Before using this feature, please check that the person cannot be created and assigned to your school automatically and that there is no problem with the data synchronization. If in doubt, please contact Our support team before using this feature.
- Applications
Principals and education portal admins can make applications available in the Applications widget on the dashboard for individual users or groups (e. g. all pupils, all teachers, etc.). Single Singn On (SSO) for the corresponding application is then available for these users and associated widgets are also displayed on the users' dashboards.
Please note that access to some applications is also managed centrally by the Federal Ministry of Education.- Broadcast-Moderator
The feature Broadcast messages allows principals and authorized employees to send messages to the organization users. Broadcast messages are a one-way communication channel. Replies or discussions are not intended. It is also possible to create templates for future use that can be sent quickly.
- Eduportal-Admin
- The eduportal admin has the same rights in the education portal as the principal, except for delegating the eduportal admin role.
- Forms
With the Forms feature, principals and authorized employees can upload forms and provide links to online forms. Depending on the role of the user in the education portal different forms can be made available in their forms widget on the Dashboard.
- Links
Principals and authorized employees can provide a list of websites and web applications for the organization's users. This list of static links will be displayed on the dashboard in a separate widget Static Links. They can provide specific lists depending on the user's role in the organisation i.e. for students, teachers, legal guardians and principals.
- News
- Principals and authorized employees can manage the News feature of the school.
- Official signatures service - dokument marking
- Principals and authorized employees can display all marked documents from their organization, add flags and notes to documents.
- Official signatures service - full access
- Principals and authorized employees can apply the official electronic signature to a document in the education portal. This role includes also Official signatures service - dokument marking
- Password manager for staff
- Principals and authorized employees can reset the ID Push password for employees
- Password manager for students
- Principals and authorized employees can reset the ID Push password for pupils
- Pictures
- Principals and authorized employees can upload user pictures that are displayed in the user lists and profile of the users.
- System administrator
- Principals and authorized employees can configure ID Push
