How to send broadcast messages?
The feature Broadcast messages allows principals and authorized employees to send messages to the organization users. Broadcast messages are a one-way communication channel. Replies or discussions are not intended.
New Messages
To create a broadcast message in the education portal, click the Broadcast button in the Organization widget on the dashboard. Make sure that the feature Broadcast is enabled.
Click the New broadcast message button to create a new message.
Select if you want to notify only the recipient, the recipient and their legal guardians or only the legal guardians in the Notify drop-down. Then use the filters to select the recipients and check the corresponding boxes. Click Continue.
Verify that the number indicated in Recipients corresponds to the number of recipients the broadcast message should be sent to.
Enter a Subject and the Message. The subject needs to be at least 5 characters long and the message needs to be at least 10 characters long. Optionally, you can also upload attachments. You can check the message before it is sent. Click Continue.
Verify the number of recipients, the subject and content of the message. The Recipients are also listed in the table below. Check the box Confirm broadcast message. Once sent, the message cannot be revoked or deleted. and click Confirm & send.
Sent Messages
In the overview table, all sent broadcast messages are displayed. It is also indicated, if a message could not be sent. You can carry out a detailed check using the button in the "Actions" column, where all recipients are listed individually.
